Why we cancelled "Homeopathy for everyone" program
For almost 6 months (till 24th August 2005), AEON GROUP company, the developer of the Mercurius software, has been sponsoring
the homeopathic world by providing a FREE full-working version of our software as a part of the program named "Homeopathy for everyone".
Since this version contained the value other companies charge hundreds of dollars for, the interest in our software has been great.
However, when the situation has reached the point when it was necessary to provide more than one hundred keys per day and daily downloads drained gigabytes of our
bandwidth, after carefully considering the circumstances, we have decided to cancel the program.
Although the technical side of the program was something that made us ponder about the usefulness of providing free homeopathic software,
it was not the main reason to stop it.
There is a natural law that says one can take only as much as one is able to give.
I am sorry to say, most of you have just drained our time and resources and the least you could
do in return - provide us feedback - you did not!
The upgrades that appeared in time were the result of our joint effort with those few who invested their energy to let us know
their opinion of our software. We have heard those voices and continued our efforts of making a better homeopathic software.
But the vast majority of the users provided nothing in return, although what we asked was a very little effort, compared to thousands of hours
we spent developing Mercurius.
We in AEON GROUP felt it would be incorrect to keep supporting such an imbalance and this was the major decision factor.
Now we have organized things in a different manner so that the proper balance would be enforced.
The free version has now been replaced by Mercurius Basic Edition, which is no longer free, but still very affordable.
